Meissen Porcelain Kakiemon Plate (Marcolini Period)

A fine Meissen (Marcolini period c.1780-1816) Porcelain soup plate, decorated outside the factory,  painted in Kakiemon style with the 'koreanischer Löwe' pattern of a winged beast facing a beetle and flowers with a crane in flight overhead and scattered flowers and insects around the basket-moulded rim. Dimensions: 23 cm. diam. Condition: a tiny chip near the rim. Painted marks in blue underglaze on the base.
